Momentum ’26 brings together seven emerging and mid‑career artists for the flagship show in Eastside’s annual artist development series. Across painting, sculpture, woodwork and printmaking, the exhibition captures the energy of artists pushing their practices forward with confidence, clarity and edge.

Artists: Antoinette Wastney, Hamish Southcott, John Clare, Karin Lange, Meg Maguire, Nina Cook & Simon van der Sluijs.

Inner City to East School Seniors: 18 August – 5 September 2026

Enjoy works by the next generation of Christchurch artists in Eastside’s annual “Inner City to East School Seniors” show.

NCEA students from seven schools across the inner city to the east present recent works, most of which will go into NCEA portfolios. The schools include: Ao Tawhiti, Avonside Girls’ High School, Christchurch Rudolf Steiner School, Hagley College, Mairehau High School, Shirley Boys’ High School and Te Aratai College.
